In 1951 J . Chitharanjan became the first district secretary at the conference held at Kilikolloor . J . Chitharanjan later became MLA , Minister , MP (Rajyasabha) . He became one of the secretaries of the national control commission of the party
K.S. Anandan :
After the tenure of J. Chitharanjan K.S . Anandan was elected as the secretary of CPI kollam DC . this Veteran communist leader is very active , even now . He worked as the secretary for 14 years .
P . Bhaskaran :
Became district secretary after the tenure of K.S. Anandan . He was familiarly called as Bhaskaran sir, A model communist ,having great regard to the communist value and principles . After the tenure as DC secretary , became the president of AITUC , Kerala state committee . Died on 2007.
G. Kathikeyan :
Became the district secretary after the tenure of P. Bhaskaran.
